The passive infrared sensor is capable of detecting motion up to 50 feet away while sending a signal back to the receiver located within a mile from the detector. Actual range is subject to the environment where it is set up. The motion detector features a variety of musical chime notification options for motion detected in different zones on your property. The battery-operated device is powered by a 9 volt battery (not included) and is compatible with the DCMA-2500 kit and the DCMA-2500 and PR-2500 receivers.
