This is the Roomba 690 robotic vacuum built with superior suction technology that you can command to clean from anywhere via a smartphone app. The free app for Android or iPhone lets you start, pause, and monitor Roomba 690, set a cleaning schedule, and even track job history wherever you are—or you can simply press the “clean” button on the robot. You can also start, stop, or dock your Roomba through voice commands using an existing Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device. It cleans dirt, dust, and debris from carpets, hardwood, tile, and linoleum floors on a schedule or at the touch of a button. Made by iRobot, developers of tactical reconnaissance robots for the U.S. military, Roomba 690 uses a three-stage cleaning system: a spinning side brush cleans along wall edges, dual, counter-rotating brushes act like a dustpan and broom by reaching deep into carpet fibers, and its powerful vacuum pulls dirt, hair, and debris off the brushes into its bin. The cleaning head automatically adjusts to accommodate carpets or hard floors and its air filter ensures only clean air is recycled. Roomba determines the optimal cleaning path during every session and navigates autonomously to clean floors. Integrated acoustic sensors detect areas of high dirt concentration when Roomba “hears” itself working harder, prompting the vacuum to spend more time cleaning these locations. It comes with a virtual barrier that Roomba will not pass, keeping the robotic vacuum where you need it by blocking off-limit areas. It can be scheduled to automatically clean up to seven times per week or prompted to spot clean. Virtual barrier requires two C batteries. 13 1/2″ Diam. x 3 3/4″ H. (8 lbs.)
