You probably already know: we like wit. FEW Spirits was ironically named after Frances Elizabeth Willard, the notorious national president of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, which was instrumental in starting Prohibition. Clearly, we couldn’t abstain. This rye is bottled on the younger side (around 4 years) so it has an exciting spicy bite. And it’s made with 70% rye, 20% corn and 10% malted barley. Worth noting: FEW Spirits Rye was Whisky Advocate’s 2013 Craft Whiskey of the Year. tip of the tongue An awesome rye whiskey makes an awesome Sazerac: Rinse a chilled cocktail glass with absinthe and set aside. Combine 2 oz FEW Rye Whiskey, 1/2 oz simple syrup and 2 dashes of bitters in a ming glass over ice and stir until cold. Strain into a cocktail glass.
