This handy adapter plate will let you attach a wider variety of telescopes, or tube ring systems that use wide male mounting bars, to an Orion mount. Our Narrow-to-Wide Dovetail Adapter Plate will attach to the saddle of a mount that uses the narrow “Vixen-style” dovetail system (such as the Orion AstroView, SkyView Pro, and Sirius equatorial mounts) and convert it to a wider saddle, which accepts wide “Losmandy style” dovetail bars.You’ll enjoy more mounting versatility with the affordable Orion Narrow-to-Wide Dovetail Adapter Plate, and its new lower-profile design will help keep your astronomy setup conveniently compact and lightweight. The adapter is spring loaded, with an e split-clamp design with two large hand knobs that have been redesigned with deep machined grooves for easy adjustment in the field – even while wearing gloves on cold nights. The split-clamp design allows the saddle to be opened wide for easy drop-in attachment of dovetail plate equipped telescopes. Measures 1″ long, 3-9/16″ wide.
