Flag of Mexico

The flag of Mexico has three main colors: green, white and red, the three colors of the national liberation army. In the center of the large vertical white stripe is the Mexican coat of arms. It consists of an eagle with a serpent enclosed in one of its talons, sitting on top of a cactus, which is resting on a rock that is surrounded by a lake. This is symbolic of an ancient Aztec legend that said god wanted them to form their city where an eagle was eating a serpent. This place is now Mexico City. A country that borders the United States, Mexico has long been a tourist destination for fun in the sun and seeing the ancient ruins of the ancient Aztec and Mayan people.
