Double O-Ring Belt made with 2 inch Heavyweight Polypropylene Webbing. Heavyweight polypropylene webbing 2 inch has a breaking strength of 1800 pounds with a thickness of 0.060 of an inch. Sew 2 O-rings on the end of a length of webbing and you get a belt that can be can be used for other non-critical applications such as: tiedown straps for packs, saddle bags, exercise straps for stretching, containment straps, or a general utility strap. Your o-ring options include: 2 inch metal, 2 inch stainless steel, and 2 inch solid brass. NOTE: OUR 2 INCH O-RINGS ARE WIDER THAN 2 INCHES AND MAY NOT FIT THROUGH STANDARD BELT LOOPS.If used other than belts, keep in mind the characteristics of the different types of webbing. Double O-Ring Belts made with heavyweight polypropylene webbing are suitable for medium duty applications. It has excellent UV protection and does not absorb water quickly. However, polypropylene does not have good abrasion resistance, so it is not recommended for use against rough edges. Double O-Ring Belts made with flat nylon webbing are a good choice for high abrasion applications. It is not recommended for use in or around water continuously because it is less water resistant, making it susceptible to mildew and rot. Double O-Ring Belts made with patterned polyester webbing are perfect for heavy loads with high abrasion. Polyester has the best attributes of flat nylon (abrasion resistance) and heavyweight polypropylene (UV protection, water resistance). Strapworks “Patterned Polyester” is polyester that has been sublimated. Sublimation is a process that virtually tattoos the ink into the webbing by turning a solid ink into a permeating gas.
