The Nelson Bubble Pendant is available in three sizes and is attached to a ceiling plate with a 6 foot long cord that allows it to delicately float overhead. George Nelson was inspired by a set of silk-covered Swedish hanging lamps that he wanted to acquire for his office, but he found the price to be prohibitive. Nelson drew from elemental, organic shapes in making variations like the Apple Bubble Pendant Lamp, the Pear Wall Sconce, and the Saucer Pendant Lamp, among others.
