When they bite an animal or bird infected with a disease, they go to lay eggs and come back to bite again. It is this second bite that transmits diseases. The Oak Stump Farms Mosquito Trap attracts catches and kills mosquitoes when they try to lay eggs, thus preventing that second bite. OakStump’s trap uses a mosquito egg pheromone, which mosquitoes use to mark special egg-laying places. This locator biochemical draws mosquitoes into the trap, but they cannot find the exit and will eventually tire and drown in the liquid. This trap was originally designed and tested for the Culex mosquito, and works well with many other mosquito varieties. Use 4 to 8 traps per acre, depending on how much water is near your home (use more traps if you are near swampy or wet areas). After 5-6 weeks, re-bait the trap with fresh water and a new lure. Traps are re-usable, non-toxic, and safe for the environment. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Mosquito Trap includes container and lure. OakStump Farms Mosquito Trap now comes in a new, slim design.
