Breezer Squall 1.0 Mountain Bike – Limited Edition 2016. Joe Breeze, of Breezer mountain bike fame, has been at the forefront of mountain bike innovation for nearly forty years, and the 2016 Breezer Squall 1.0 is a perfect example of Breezer design, innovation, and value. Start with the frame, which incorporates Breezer D’Fusion butted aluminum tubing, including a unique D-shape profile on the top and down tubes near the head tube intersection and at the top tube-seat tube intersection. This reduces the stress that travels though these joints, which keeps your frame lively and reduces the risk of frame fatigue. In the rear triangle, D’Fusion tubing adds rigidity to the chainstays through a wider cross-section, while positioning the broad area outboard, to reduce chain suck. This eliminates the need for heavy gussets and keeps the frame light and responsive. Next, the Squall 1.0 is built up with a Shimano Deore/Deore XT 2×10-speed drivetrain for flawless gear changes and a wide range of gear options to tackle whatever terrain you encounter on the trail. Shimano M396 hydraulic disc brakes ensure excellent all-weather stopping power while the WTB SX19 wheels outfitted with WTB Nineline Comp 29 x 2.25 tires are all-around performers. Additionally, a RockShox XC32 suspension fork provides 100mm of travel to soak up the rough stuff.
