Double D-Ring Belt made with 1-1/2 inch Lightweight Polypropylene Webbing. Lightweight polypropylene webbing 1-1/2 inch has a thickness of 0.040 of an inch, with a breaking strength of 900 pounds. Metal and Plastic D-Rings are not rated.Double D-Ring Belts; so simple, yet so functional. Sew 2 D-rings on the end of a length of webbing and you get a belt that can be used for many occasions. Double D-Ring Belts can be used for other non-critical applications such as: tiedown straps for packs, saddle bags, exercise straps for stretching, containment straps, or a general utility strap. Your d-ring options include: metal heavy wire, light wire, plastic (black or white), stainless steel (heavy wire or light wire), solid brass (heavy wire or light wire). NOTE: For best grip, choose our Lightwire or plastic d-rings.If used other than belts, keep in mind the characteristics of the different types of webbing.Double D-Ring Belts made with lightweight polypropylene webbing are ideally suited for outdoor light duty use. Other than breaking strength and webbing thickness, they have the same attributes as heavyweight polypropylene webbing.Double D-Ring Belts made with heavyweight polypropylene webbing are suitable for medium duty applications. However, polypropylene does not have good abrasion resistance, so it is not recommended for use against rough edges.Double D-Ring Belts made with flat nylon webbing are a good choice for high abrasion applications. It is not recommended for use in or around water continuously because it is less water resistant, making it susceptible to mildew and rot.Double D-Ring Belts made with patterned polyester webbing are perfect for heavy loads with high abrasion.
