Fuji Tahoe 27.5 1.1 Mountain Bike – 2017. The Fuji Tahoe 27.5 1.1 brings a newly popular wheel size to Fuji’s prestigious Tahoe line. The Tahoe is at home in across a range of disciplines, stopping just short of enduro capabilities. With its nimble wheels, efficient SRAM GX drivetrain, and feature-rich aluminum frame, the Tahoe is ready to roll around the cross country course or up and down technical singletrack. The Tahoe 27.5 1.1 is built around the Fuji A2-SL custom butted aluminum frame. The PowerCurve downtube, 1 1/8 to 1 1/2 tapered headtube, and the BB91 bottom bracket work together to form a light, stiff frame that transfers your pedaling power straight to the wheels. The A2-SL frame excels on the climbs, aided by the remote lockout on the RockShox Recon Gold RL 27.5 fork. Once you’ve crested the hill, the Recon Gold is ready to bring you back down, offering 100mm of travel and a 15mm front axle for even greater front-end stiffness. SRAM’s 1×11 GX drivetrain takes advantage of the latest advancements in derailleur technology, pairing a GX crankset with a 32T ring with a stupendous 42T cog in the rear. This 1×11 setup reduces maintenance and bypasses fickle front derailleurs, all while offering a range of gears comparable to a 2x drivetrain. The GX rear derailleur enjoys trickle down technology from SRAM’s top of the line groupsets, including SRAM’s patented Roller Bearing Clutch, which maximizes shifting stability in the most demanding terrain. The finishing package on the Tahoe comes from Fuji’s house brand, Oval Concepts. Light and durable, the Oval stem, seatpost, and saddle deliver maximum performance for the price point. The Tahoe rolls along on tubeless-ready Oval Concepts 400 27.5 wheels with Centerlock hubs and a 15mm front thru-axle, which offer a balance of speed and durability.
