LA distillery Greenbar has created an unbelievably zesty, fruity, flower-ful hibiscus liqueur, inspired by the vibrant Mexican cuisine of Southern California – and we’re sipping it all the time (not just on #Taco Tuesday). Greenbar starts by distilling organic molasses into a light rum-like base, and then infusing the bottle with whole hibiscus flowers, geranium flowers and California lemon zest. The result is a ruby red spirit that makes us smile every time we pour it in a glass, and a flavor that’s bright, ripe, and luscious – like ripe red raspberries got lost in a tropical flower field – with just a touch of pure cane sugar to balance out the natural bitter edge of hibiscus. It’s jammy, earthy, and bright…and it’s making all our cocktails muy delicioso.
