Yes, Watermelon Brandy is a real thing, and you need it in your life. It’s made using nearly 300 heirloom Charleston Gray watermelons sourced from a farm nearby the distillery in, yes, Charleston, South Carolina. The watermelon is cut into pieces, juiced by hand-pressing through a metal grate. After it’s distilled, the brandy is rested for four months. The result is so lusciously juicy, rich, soft and creamy we’re already imagining endless hours spent on the porch. (But don’t worry – it’s not saccharine and syrupy, like a melted Jolly Rancher, but more on the refreshing side, like fresh watermelon juice.) This bottle is a limited edition, only released for the holidays. It’s very rare and hard to find (less than 300 bottles have been made) so get yours before we run out! TIP OF THE TONGUE This is meant to be sipped on warm nights, in a chilled glass while listening to the crickets chirp over the sound of crunching Olive Oil and Black Pepper-Fried Pork Skins. Ah, the life.
