Vodka sauce is a mini-lesson in food science (stay with us). Adding smooth vodka to Jar Goods’ classic red sauce doesn’t actually make it taste like vodka; instead, it enhances the flavor of everything else, from the ripe New Jersey tomatoes to the subtly sweet onion and fresh basil. The other, not-so-secret ingredient? Cream! Don’t worry, not a ton, just enough to give the sauce extra richness without overwhelming the bright and juicy tomato.
