Join author and historian Rory Raven for a guided tour Salem’s dark past. You will explore the sites and stories that shaped the city and still cast their shadows to this day. You will hear about the witch trials of 1692, as well as a murder that may have inspired Edgar Allan Poe, the strange history of the Ouija Board, and Nathaniel Hawthorne’s own personal ghost story! Rory gives you a fascinating look at the characters and stories that make Salem strangely unique … and uniquely strange! This tour updates the “Magic Lantern Shows” of yesteryear for a modern audience, giving them a fascinating glimpse into the past! Tours depart from Emporium 32, 6 Central Street, right in downtown Salem, at 7pm. Tickets are $20.
