Medieval Falchion Sword: Unsharpened

While the double-edged sword is prevalent in Medieval journals, the single-edged falchion sword was favored by a great many Gothic knights and men-at-arms. The wide cutting blade was quite effective against mail (During this era armor was being improved by the addition of plates, but only the very wealthy could afford it). Although the falchion sword was primarily intended to be a cutting weapon, the development of the point was not ignored. This example has a very strong point that would penetrate mail with a hard thrust or stab. A well designed fighting weapon hand-crafted by the famed metalsmiths at Windlass Steelcrafts, this falchion sword is crafted of tempered high carbon steel. The guard and pommel are both steel and the hardwood grip is covered with hand-applied leather. Complete with a leather scabbard. Overall: 34″ Blade: 28″Lx2″W. 3/16″ thick. 3 lbs.
