A must-have for sunspot fans and eclipse-chasers, the GPS-equipped Orion Solar StarSeeker Mount features a built-in camera that finds and tracks the Sun without requiring any tedious alignment setup or data entry. Just press the power button and the Solar StarSeeker does the rest! A vertical, narrow Vixen-style dovetail cradle makes it easy to attach dedicated solar telescopes such as the new Orion 70mm White-Light Solar Refractor Telescope, h-alpha telescopes, or small solar filter-equipped telescopes weighing up to 7 lbs. The mount is supported by a sturdy, cylindrical-leg metal tripod that can be adjusted to hold attached telescopes as low as 37.5″ to a max height of 57″. CAUTION: The Orion Solar StarSeeker Mount is designed to automatically locate, center, and track the Sun. Only use the Solar StarSeeker Mount with a telescope equipped with a professionally made solar filter. Never look at the Sun, either directly or through a telescope, without a professionally made protective solar filter installed that completely covers the front of the instrument, or permanent eye damage could result.
