It took Santa Fe Spirits two years to perfect the recipe for this outstanding gin. They traveled New Mexico’s deserts, meadows and everywhere in between to find the perfect balance of botanicals. When enjoyed neat, the gin gives off vibrant aromas of hop flowers and osha root followed by flavors of lush fruit and spice. The foundation of this gin is solidly juniper, but local cactus flowers lend a flavor reminiscent of cucumber, making it a great backbone for a variety of gin cocktails. Santa Fe Spirits, founded by Colin Keegan in 2010, is located 7, 000 feet above sea level at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in the heart of the Southwest. The distillers forage the surrounding area for ingredients, resulting in truly exceptional liquors that capture the unique terroir of Santa Fe. No sip delights the same. TIP OF THE TONGUE Try this in a Perfect Gin & Tonic: In a collins glass, combine 1. 75 oz Western Dry Gin, .5 oz Jack Rudy Small-Batch Tonic Syrup and a generous squeeze of lime. Add ice, top with soda water, stir and drink up.
