This lightly sweet, brightly floral bar finishes with a rich tannic bite that reminds us of roasted walnuts. Just two simple ingredients make the magic here: organic cocoa beans from the CedeƱo family farm in Santo Domingo, and organic cane sugar. That’s right, two. Twenty-Four Blackbirds works with just a few origins at a time, developing a recipe for each new bar, figuring out the right roast, conch and aging process. Rounding out an already stellar treat is the stunning bar design. Each one is molded with a single feather, then wrapped in recycled craft paper (be still our hearts!), designed and printed in Twenty-Four Blackbirds’ small Santa Barbara workshop.
